Vaarta Thi Vaavetar

  • May 22, 2024 at 08:00 AM

  • There is a magic in a lullaby sung by a grandmother.

At Shree Sailaxmi Foundation, we believe these treasures are not just memories of the past, but the living threads that connect generations.

  • A rhythm in a poem recited by a child.

Founded in 2013 by Sairam Dave, the Foundation was created to make sure Gujarat’s cultural heartbeat stays strong, not just in villages but in schools, auditoriums, and hearts across the world.

  • A wisdom in a story told in a village school.

Today, through festivals, educator training, community events, and children’s programmes, our work has reached:

30,000+ educators trained to bring storytelling and cultural learning into classrooms.

7 lakh+ people engaged through events and festivals.

Hundreds of schools enriched with cultural, value-based education.

Keeping Gujarat’s Heartbeat Alive

  • Celebrating Living Traditions

From lullabies to folk poetry, every initiative brings Gujarat’s cultural art forms back into daily life.

  • Connecting Culture to Today

Events and programmes reintroduce heritage in ways that feel relevant, joyful, and meaningful for the new generation.

Our Story

Founded by Sairam Dave in 2013, Shree Sailaxmi Foundation is a heartfelt initiative to preserve and celebrate the cultural roots of Gujarat. More than an organization, it is a movement that keeps alive our mother tongue, folk music, stories, and traditions through vibrant programs and community connections.

What makes the Foundation unique is Sairam Dave’s ability to design versatile shows across broad themes—from cultural heritage and parenting, to motivational storytelling and folk humor—making every event engaging and meaningful. At its core, the Foundation places a special focus on music and art, whether it’s reviving forgotten lullabies, celebrating the richness of chhands, or giving folk musicians and local artists a platform to shine.

Through seminars, competitions, and creative gatherings, Shree Sailaxmi Foundation not only supports art but also bridges generations, bringing people together with a shared love for culture and values.

That every child grows up proud of their culture.

That teachers have creative tools that make learning joyful.

That folk traditions are celebrated as a vibrant part of modern life.

Our philosophy is rooted in four words:

  • Preserve

Gather and safeguard stories, songs, and traditions before they fade.

  • Practice

Live the values we promote — in our homes, schools, and communities — so culture becomes a daily experience, not just a memory.

  • Participate

Create events and festivals where people of all ages join in.

  • Pass On

Ensure the next generation inherits not just culture, but the pride to keep it alive.

Our mission stands for the following:

  • Organise and promote language, literature, and music programmes that give a platform to both established and emerging artists.

  • Guide society towards the right direction in education and child welfare through open dialogue on parenting and teaching.

  • Provide financial and medical security to practicing artists, and create a sustainable ecosystem for art to thrive.

Our work spans

  • Education

Ka Kelavani No Ka and Varta nu Vavetar training have transformed classrooms by empowering thousands of teachers.

  • Community

Chhandotsav, Mane Halardu Sambhre Re, and Balpan Bachavo bring families together in celebration of shared heritage.

  • Children’s Programmes

Balvarta and Baalgeet create joyful spaces for children to discover the beauty of Gujarati stories, songs, and values.
